Strategic Leadership Opportunities with Learn@ MAT

Two temporary opportunities within the Learn@ Central Executive team are available with effect from Monday 2nd March, 2020 for the right candidates.

These will be voluntary opportunities for those seeking to move into Executive Leadership positions in the future. We are looking for experienced Head Teachers who wish to expand both their strategic skills and leadership support skills. This is only open to internal candidates.

As a relatively small Multi Academy Trust that is looking to expand over the next few years to potentially double in size from the original four Academies, we will need a larger Executive Leadership team. This is currently not affordable nor necessary with four Academies, however, as we grow it will become a priority we need to be ready for. This does not mean that recruitment to our Executive will not be open to full and open processes in due course, but as a Trust that likes to develop its own leaders, we see this as a great internal opportunity for the right people to show their potential.

We have a number of strategic developments needing Executive leadership across Bristol and neighbouring counties, as well as a few opportunities to support other internal leaders. These will be discussed in more detail with those expressing an interest in the positions.

The opportunity is based on 1 day a week secondment for which all related expenses will be covered by the Trust. In addition all back fill costs to allow the Deputy Head to step up and experience 1 day a week’s Headship role will be covered by the Trust and can be clarified and agreed on securing this strategic leadership opportunity.

These two opportunities are on a temporary basis from 2nd March to 31st July, 2020.
