Learn @ Easton / LEAP
Learn @ Easton is an innovative KS2 SEMH provision that combines both the expertise of the mainstream and specialist provision to encourage children to reach their full potential.
Learn@ Easton Children are warmly welcomed into the Easton CE Academy Community. Children will be provided with Easton Academy Uniform to wear whilst the school. Where appropriate, the children will have the opportunity to be part of lessons, playtime and school wide events.
The Provision comprises of two classes:
The St Matthias class is for children who need additional support to thrive in mainstream and require short term intervention. The Soundwell Class is for children with EHC Plans who may benefit from the combination of mainstream and specialist provision.
St Matthias Academy Class
The St Matthias Class is an alternative learning provision. The ALP will offer schools a 12 week KS2 early-intervention. 8 children will be dual registered with their home school.
Soundwell Academy Class
8 Space Specialist Provision
Highly specialist provision with opportunities to integrate with both mainstream Easton CE Academy and Specialist Soundwell academy. The pupils attending will have their own Education, Health and Care Plan reviewed annually with new outcomes set. The pupils will be on roll with Soundwell Academy and transition to Soundwell Academy Secondary School (Key Stage 3)
The mornings will have a learning focus using a differentiated curriculum based on Easton’s learning focus.
The afternoons will have a focus on social and emotional skills for learning, offering a menu of different and engaging outdoor and offsite activities.
